After two lockdowns, we have finally welcomed our team back to Hudson HQ. During the pandemic, our team worked remotely to ensure that business continued as usual for our clients. We couldn’t be prouder of the extraordinary efforts they went to under these exceptional circumstances.
During the pandemic, we recruited 13 new employees. During this time, many businesses turned to tendering to secure new contracts. Without face-to-face meetings and networking, tendering provided a viable avenue for generating new business remotely. Procurement didn’t stop, in fact, in 2020 we uploaded 34,000 tenders to our Discover tendering portals. As more businesses realised this, demand for our products and services rapidly increased. Our turnover increased by 70% and we needed more hands on deck to support our clients.

When we welcomed our team back to the office, many of them had never met their new colleagues in person. Considering this in advance, we made some adaptions to our workplace to support our team’s return.
In preparation for welcoming back our team, we made some changes to our Head Office. This included the creation of our Hudson Library. Our Library provides a quiet space for downtime. Our team can find both fiction and non-fiction as well as literature for professional development.

We created a Wellbeing Room to encourage our employees to take their breaks away from their desks. We believe that this is key to the wellbeing of our team. The room also provides a space for our team to relax and bond with their colleagues.

We are thrilled to have our team back at HQ. Now, it’s full steam ahead, implementing and driving our growth plans. We have some very exciting plans currently in development and new products and services that were recently launched.
Our clientele stretches around the globe, from the UK to the US and from the Caribbean to Russia. In 2020, we had planned to further establish our presence in the US market. However, when the pandemic stunted our travel capabilities, our plans had to be put on hold. With brighter days ahead, we are now implementing our growth strategy which began with securing our Head Office in Florida.
When travel restrictions ease later this year, our Directors will travel to our Florida base to establish a local team. We understand the importance of recruiting locally and we are looking forward to forming our US team.
As well as international growth, we are continuing to grow our UK team. Throughout the year, we will be looking for talented individuals to join our team. These roles will include Bid Writers and Client Engagement Managers to name a few. As Hudson continues to expand, we have big plans for our UK offering. We can’t wait to share our exciting developments with you!
In February, we launched our Discover Elite service. The service ensures that our clients never miss a new tendering opportunity, even when they’re busy. Pre-bid admin and portal management can eat into your precious time as a business. Discover Elite alleviates this and allows you to focus on making your bid or no-bid decisions.
Our team are currently working hard to develop new products and services to help businesses grow far and wide. At Hudson, we have always promised to remain innovative for our clients. As their needs change, we find the best solutions for their new requirements. Our new projects include an online bid training solution and a grant sourcing portal.
